Being an artist can be a crazy profession. Especially the biggest artists work incredibly long hours. Just before an important release the whole world press jumps to the occasion to do interviews. Naturally it's virtually impossible for these artists to do interviews with every radio station, magazine or TV show. To make things easier for artists and media alike, record companies sometimes issue EPK's; electronic press kits. An EPK is an interview, or special piece of content that media can use to generate a story on an artist. EPK's can be rare, and although they are reproduced throughout the world, originals can be hard to find.

In January 2007 we found a special EPK in the mail. This Lenny Kravitz EPK came to us through the web, and we have virtually no information about it. There are no questions in this EPK (done on purpose so every presenter can edit in his or hers voice, to make the interview sound genuine), just answers. Lenny Kravitz answers are brilliant though. We had a lot of discussions on putting this EPK on line and came to the conclusion that we think it's a must have for Lenny Kravitz fans. We don't want to deny it to anyone, and think that this EPK by one of the greatest artists around should be heard by as many people as possible. So, although a little weird, enjoy this monologue by Lenny Kravitz, one of the most influential artists of the past twenty years. We present it to you in two parts, as always, uncut, uncensored.
