We spoke to singer Paul Smith from the UK band Maxïmo Park on a Wednesday afternoon in Amsterdam centre (Holland). The band played the Paradiso club that day and shortly before we asked Paul about the new written songs, the success from last year and many many more things. Recorded on July 12th 2006, Amsterdam.

In this interview we spoke, openly, to singer Paul Smith from Maxïmo Park. Actually, he was very surprised about how this music career started off. It all went very quick and the band is everywhere. Radio, TV, Charts and Internet. Paul explains what he thinks about all this. Recorded in Amsterdam in November 2005. Part 1.

"I was a guitarist in another band. The guys of Maxïmo Park liked my jumping on stage. So they asked if I wanted to join their band as a singer. I never really tried singing!"
