We did an interview with master drummer Josh Freese. Freese compares A Perfect Circle to Tool.

"I love Tool, but they're a lot heavier. A Perfect Circle is more of a pop version of the dark and aggressive Tool. Maynard always says that Tool is his masculine side, and A Perfect Circle is his feminine side."

Great audio content! Guitarist Billy Howerdel was Tool's sound engineer on the album Aenima, but now he has his own band and in this interview from July 2000 he explains how he got Tool singer Maynard James Keenan to join A Perfect Circle.

"Tool went into the studio, and I worked for them... Maynard heard some of the music I was working on and he really liked it, and wanted to sing on it."
