During the Dutch Pinkpop festival 2004, we learned from Chris Hesse and Dan Estrin which questions not to ask Hoobastank in an interview and then we found out how the guys really feel about their fans:

"When you can't give one fan the attention they expect, they hate you and call you an asshole. It wasn't in my fucking job description to come to the fan's houses and play nintendo with them!"

We recorded this interview with Hoobastank while they were on tour as support act with Incubus in 2002. Doug talks to us about his lyrical influences.

"All the songs come from personal experience of some sort and I think it's important to write about what you know. It's much more believable because you sing it with more passion and conviction."
