Oceansize interview from Amsterdam 2003
Guitarist Steve Durose from the British band Oceansize spoke to Toazted about their music, while they were on tour in 2003. Recorded in Amsterdam 2003.
Interview: Oceansize and Manchester
We did an interview with Oceansize. They released 'Effloresce' in 2003 and it got raving reviews. A few years ago they were voted the best un-signed band in Manchester but don't expect to hear The Stone Roses sound in their music, they get their influences from Helmet, Tool and Jane's Addiction. We asked them if they found it difficult going against the Oasis grain:
"We started to get this backlash of people who kind of took the music offensively because it was like we were invading their turf with music that doesn't represent their town. It took along time for that scene to die."

Interview with Mike and Gambler from Oceansize
A second interview we did that year (2003) with Oceansize. Singer Mike and guitarist Gambler tell in this interview about the success in Holland and in England.
"The Vera Club in Groningen Holland is always very hospitable and we did our very first encore! We never do that!"
