DJ Format talked to us while he was on tour with Jurassic Five. He just released his record, 'Music for the Mature B Boy' and he tells us why he thinks hip hop isn't as good as it used to be.

"Now people don't use so much funky music when they're sampling their hip hop. They just take stabs from a record, may be a kick drum, a high hat and a snare and it seems very regimented and I like it when it's funkier and loose."
