The Darkness have managed to bring good old fashioned hard rock back to the top of the charts. Bass player Frankie Poullain shares his opinions on rock 'n roll in this interview from November 2003.

"The grunge mentality has dictated rock for the past 12 years. People have forgotten the real values of rock; a sense of the ridiculous, a hightened reality and showmanship. Not guys in scruffy jeans complaining about their drug habit. That's just incredibily dull!"
