Nina Persson and Bengt Lagerberg talk to Toazted about The Cardigan's past and present and about the doubts they all had over keeping the band together.

"It definitely wasn't for certain if we were going to continue as a band because when we finished touring with 'Gran Turismo' we didn't really speak to each other, so we had to try to meet again and make a decision, a really big decision and that was very difficult."

The Cardigans talked to Toazted about rock and roll. They are huge Black Sabbath fans and we asked them if they ever met Ozzy Osbourne.

"We did meet him and he was very mellow because he was with his children. They were weird children. They were like omen children with black hair and black clothes. But they were very nice."

Toazted talked to the band in their hotel suite about 'First Band On The Moon' and touring in America.

"The initial thoughts when we went there was that it would be hard and we would sort of start over again and do these shitty gigs but it wasn't at all. We were overwhelmed by the reception we had."
